Robert S. "Bobby" Halvorsen
HALVORSEN, Robert S. "Bobby" Robert S. Halvorsen, 21, of South Windsor died suddenly, Friday, (October 15, 2004) in a tragic work related accident. Bobby leaves his loving wife, Erica with whom he found happiness and his beloved daughter, Madison, with whom he found purpose. Bobby also leaves his grieving mother and father, John and Michelle Halvorsen of South Windsor and his loving older brother, Jeremy, also of South Windsor. Bobby's father-in-law, Michael Wellington of South Windsor, valiantly assisted by Claud Blackshev of Enfield, tried to rescue Bobby as soon as the accident occurred. The family's deepest appreciation and heartfelt thank you go out to Michael and Claud. Bobby was a great husband and father who worked very hard for his family. He was a wonderful son, brother, son-in-law and friend, who was always able to brighten any room he walked into. Also left to mourn this terrible loss is his grandmother, Arlene Croteau, his cousins, Michael, Katie, Ben, Jerod and Logan; his aunts, Robin, Heather, Dee Dee and Nikki; his uncles, Ralph, Michael and Chris; his sister-in-law, Sarah and many loving friends. He will be lovingly remembered always and forever. His family will receive friends Tuesday, October 19, from 4-8 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. There will be a celebration of his life on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, followed by burial service in South Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the CT Children's Medical Center, 12 Charter Oak Place, Hartford, CT 06106.
